Patrick Chadwick is a British/French director, cinematographer and editor currently based on the west coast of Scotland. He has won multiple awards for his directing work, and has focused on themes such as climate change, connection to place, energy technology, and environmental activism. His short documentary Memories of old awake, made for the University of Cambridge, was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick, and his mini web series Under the Microscope, also made for the University of Cambridge, has received over 36 million online views. As a cinematographer he regularly contributes wildlife footage to Stocksy and Artgrid and he has a passion for filming arthropods. His most recent short documentary, Tayo Tayo, a 30 minute film about a climate pilgrimage, was translated into seven languages and screened at international film festivals, as well as in many community settings across Europe. His latest short experimental film Amellus screened online at the Martinique International Film Festival 2023.
