Patrick Chadwick is a British/French director, cinematographer and editor currently based on the west coast of Scotland. He has won multiple awards for his directing work, and has focused on themes such as the climate crisis, connection to place, and environmental activism. His short documentary Memories of old awake, made for the University of Cambridge, was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick and screened at international festivals worldwide. He is a world expert in filming arthropods and has worked as a camera operator for BBC NHU on Hidden Planet, and his footage is licenced by FilmSupply. His most recent short documentary, Tayo Tayo, a 30 minute film about a climate pilgrimage, was translated into seven languages and screened at international film festivals, as well as in many community settings across Europe. His short experimental film Amellus screened online at the Martinique International Film Festival 2023.
